The most procedurally demanding medical exemption in the dataset so far. The affidavit is prepared by the office of state police and lists the ICD-9-CM conditions that qualify; where photophobia is the stated condition the clinician must explain why corrective sunglasses will not suffice and why the tint will not impair night driving; the applicant signs a notarised release of all related medical records, provides written consent for a criminal history check and submits a full set of fingerprints for a state and federal record check. Persons convicted of violent crimes or drug offences are ineligible. Exemptions are reviewed every three years, except that one granted for diagnosed light-sensitive porphyria lasts for the duration of the vehicle's ownership. Louisiana also has a SECOND personal exemption with no counterpart anywhere else in this dataset: §32:361.3 disapplies §361.1 entirely for a driver holding a departmental affidavit that "valid security reasons exist", subject to the same criminal-history consent, and grants it automatically to government and law-enforcement vehicles. It does not reach the windshield below its top six inches.

Two duties, not one: the INSTALLER must apply a labelled tag between the film and each glazing surface (D)(2)–(3), and separately each MANUFACTURER must certify to the Department of Public Safety and Corrections, office of motor vehicles, by independent test laboratory data, that its device complies with the reflectance and transmittance requirements (D)(1).

Recorded as a positive reading of the operative subsection rather than left as a gap: (C)(1) states the rear allowance in full and conditions it on nothing but the percentage. §§361.1, 361.2 and 361.3 are all in the retrieved caches and none mentions mirrors.
